Obituary

Alesia Faye Ross was born June 1, 1963 in Camilla, Georgia to Mrs. Catherine Jefferson and the late Mr. Samuel Jefferson.

"Lisa", as most knew her, lived most of her young adult life in Chicago, Illinois.  She aspired to be a model.  That dream was followed through, but short lived due to her relocation back to Georgia.  At the age of thirty-two, she married Douglas Ross.  Not only was Lisa a great wife, she too was a wonderful and loving mother of one handsome son.

Lisa enjoyed listening to music, reading magazines, watching talk shows and spending time with those she loved.  Her beautiful smile, loving touch, kind heart and tell it like it "IS" attitude will truly be missed dearly by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Jefferson, Jr., and a father, Samuel Jefferson, Sr.

Alesia is survived by a son, Terrence Jefferson of Camilla, Georgia and a daughter-in-law, Catrecia Wheeler of Camilla, Georgia; a mother, Catherine Jefferson of Camilla, Georgia; grandmothers, Ceola Nelson of Camilla, Georgia, and Nancy Mae Jefferson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a godson-nephew, Monterries Alamilla of Camilla, Georgia; sister, Cheryl Ward of Camilla, Georgia; nieces, Shiquita Jefferson and Anylia Ward of Camilla, Georgia; great nieces and nephews, Krystaline Jefferson, Kortlen Cannon and Kortez Cannon of Camilla, Georgia; a host of other relatives.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that afternoon that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide;
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.

Our Family chain is broke,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
the Chain will link again.
