Alexander "Jeff" Royal was born on November 15, 1948 to Mr. Tommie Charles Royal and Mrs. Rosa Mae Darby Royal Hubbard.

He was educated in the public schools of Dooly County.

He accepted CHRIST at an early age at the Holly Grove Baptist Church.  He later joined St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, where he served until his health failed.

He was an excellent cook and the Bar-B-Que King of the family.  He enjoyed Western movies.

He was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, Brenda Fields, and Mary Alice Royal; and one son, Darryl Cannon.

He transitioned from this life on Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and faithful wife, Mrs. Catherine Royal; four daughters, Felicia Anaro of Manteca, California, Latosha (Roderick) James of Albany, Georgia, Tiffany (Torry) Jackson of Camilla, Georgia, Shonda (Randy) Thomas of Pelham, Georgia; one son, Willie (Labrena) Cannon of Camilla, Georgia; one sister, Tommie Jean Russell of Baltimore, Maryland; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
