BIOGRAPHY
Amelia Kay Revis Clark of Atlanta, Georgia went home to rest on October 26, 2011. Kay, as she was best known by family and friends, was born August 8, 1955 to Cornelius Walter (C. W.) Revis, II and Margrine Thomas Revis of Newton, Georgia.
She graduated in the class of 1973 from Baker County High School in Newton. She attended Albany State Unviversity (formerly Albany State College). Later, Kay completed business courses in Atlanta. Kay was employed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in Atlanta for twenty-six years, as a data transcriber and later a tax examiner. She was carrying out her IRS duties on Wednesday morning when He whispered, "Move on up a little higher. You've been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things."
Baptized at a young age, Kay was active in the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church of Newton until moving to Atlanta. There she united with the Elizabeth Baptist Church on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, under the leadership of Pastor J. E. Hightower. When a new edifice was built on Cascade Road, she followed as a faithful member of the Courtesy Guild. Fishing, her favorite thing, was a love learned from her grandmother, Polly Ann.
Kay leaves to cherish her memory her husband of twenty-three years, Curtis Clark; their two loving children, Krisica and Kemel; and two grandchildren, Amari and Zyana.
Her passing is mourned by her father, C. W. Revis, II. She leaves, with fond memories of their times together, her siblings, Silvana Jenkins (Harold) of Camilla, Georgia, Anthony Revis (Linda) of Freeland, Michigan, Kim Drummond (Earl) of Wheatley Heights, New York, John K. Revis (Sonji Lynn) of Lansing, Michigan, Timothy Revis of Newton, Georgia. Kay will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Kerel Revis, Alexandria Douglas, Prikenya Revis, Shakis Drummond, Ariana Ward, Kaniel Revis, Akeen Drummond, Keyonda Freeman, and Kendalyn Revis; sister-in-law, Anita McPherson of Jonesboro, Georgia; paternal aunts, Toy Whittaker, Rita North (Jessie), and Alice Revis; maternal aunts and uncles, Ellen Hallbank, Leevesta Thomas, Jacquelyn Ross (Jackie), Veronice Gilbert, Charles Gilbert, Freddie Thomas; and close relatives and friends who thought Kay a very special person.
Kay is preceded in death by a loving mother, Margrine Revis; a gracious mother-in-law, Patricia Clark of Columbus, Georgia; an older brother, C. W. Revis, III; paternal aunts, Emma Jean Berry and Dreamy Revis; paternal grandmother, Polly Ann Revis Gilbert; maternal aunt, Bertha Rucker; maternal uncles, Washington Thomas, Jr., Jessie Thomas, and Harvey Thomas.
Kay loved her church, was a devoted wife, dearly loved her children, and delightful in her grandchildren. In death she is now united with CHRIST, leaving behind beautiful memories that will be cherished by her husband, children, siblings, and all who knew and loved Amelia Kay.

Life is but a Stopping Place
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord.
