The funeral service of Ammie Jane Wallace Johnson, will be conducted Saturday, October 3, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., at Beautiful Light Missionary Baptist Church, 9545 River Road, Camilla. Reverend Marvin Summerlin will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary Memorial Cemetery.

Ammie Jane Wallace Johnson, daughter of the late Jeff Wallace and Charity Wallace, was born December 23, 1922 in Baker County, Georgia.

She confessed Christ and united with the Beautiful Light Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Johnson, Sr.; two sons, Jimmy Johnson, Jr., Albert Lee Johnson; three sisters, Louella White, Beatrice Washington, Eva Williams.

She will be missed by her family and her many friends.

She departed this life on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at her residence.

She leaves to cherish her memories seven daughters, Bernice Dargen of Newark, New Jersey, Ruby (Sam) Lane of Englewood, New Jersey, Ella Mae Johnson of New York, New York, Ammie Johnson of Trenton, New Jersey, Armelia (Nathan) Wright of Jacksonville, Florida, Sherall (Eugene) Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, Tungor Johnson of Camilla, Georgia; one son, John (Becky) Johnson of Baytown, Texas; one loving grandson, who was like a son, Malcolm Johnson of Houston, Texas; one step-daughter, Beverly Williams of Baconton, Georgia; two sisters, Liza Kinson of Albany, Georgia, Missouri Lyde of New Jersey; one brother, Jeff Wallace of Albany, Georgia; one devoted daughter-in-law, who was like a daughter, Lessie Anderson of Newton, Georgia; one god-daughter, Ginger Joyner of Camilla, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
