The funeral service of Annie Grace Williams Salyer, will be conducted Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 3:30 p.m., at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 7141 Pipeline Road, Camilla. Reverend Leroy Thompson, Jr., will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Clayton and John Ira Williams.
Active Pallbearers will be Eugene Anderson, Douglas Clayton, John Lee Holt, Willie Terry, Clemond Walker, Sweetie Willis.
Sister Annie Grace Williams Salyer, daughter of the late Ira Williams, Sr. and Eva Pearl Clayton Williams, was born September 16, 1943 in Mitchell County, Georgia.
She accepted Christ at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia where she attended faithfully until her health failed.
She was a graduate of the class of 1961 of Camilla Consolidated High School.
She was united in marriage to Jerry Salyer who preceded her in death.
Three children, Kenneth Salyer, Denetria Salyer, and Terrance Salyer, preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Ira Williams, Jr. and a sister, Mildred Watson.
She departed this life on Thursday, August 19, 2010, at Select Specialist Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Daryll J. (Sharon) Salyer of Houston, Texas, Frederick C. (Amy) Florence of Dixon City, Pennsylvania, Jarvis Williams of Camilla, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Montorrius Salyer, Ieshia Salyer, Denetria Salyer, Kevin Salyer, Joshua Florence, Jayson Florence, Rashaun Florence, Evelyn Florence, Marquis Florence, Ryshaudrick Florence, Jaquan Brown, Jarquavian Williams, and Jamarion Williams; two sisters, Mattie Walker of Camilla, Georgia, Catherine Walker of West Palm Beach, Florida; one brother, Clemond Walker of West Palm Beach, Florida; a host of much loved nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
