Annie Ruth Butler was the first born of two children to the union of the late Anderson Butler and Preddie Mae Butler on July 20, 1942 in Camilla, Georgia. She departed this life on November 4, 2009 in Camilla, Georgia.

Annie Ruth Butler was known to her family and friends as Patsy. Patsy attended Camilla Consolidated School and graduated on June 4, 1961. She later attended college in Miami, Florida as well as completed trade school in New York at Meadows College.

Patsy joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Camilla, Georgia in 1957. She also attended services at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia. Patsy was faithful to her churches as well as family and friends.

Patsy leaves to cherish her memories a son, Darrel Butler of Orlando, Florida; nephew, Gerald Butler of Tallahassee, Florida; two great nieces, Mia Butler of Tallahassee, Florida, Krystalyn Butler of Tallahassee, Florida; niece, Tina Butler of Camilla, Georgia; god daughter, Trisha Jones Colton of Newton, Georgia; a host of cousins, friends and family. She was preceded in death by her only sister, Paulette Butler.
