Arthur Lee Silas, son of the late Laura Mae Walden Silas and Howard Lewis, Jr., was born August 28, 1956 in Camilla, Georgia.

At an early age, he joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia.

Arthur graduated from Mitchell County High School with the class of 1976.  For many years he was employed with the Mitchell County School System as the head custodian until retirement.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ossie Mae Silas.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Bonnie Silas of Camilla, Georgia; one niece, Shanasty Silas of Camilla, Georgia; two nephews, James Earl Silas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jaylin Jamal Mathis of Greenville, North Carolina; two great nieces, Jayden Harrison, Jaloni Sanders of Camilla, Georgia; a brother, Patrick White of Camilla, Georgia; other relatives and friends.
