IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arthur Wayne
Willingham
November 13, 1949 – January 18, 2020
Arthur Wayne Willingham was born in Camilla, Georgia on November 13, 1949. He was the beloved son of the late Edward Willingham and Sarah Willingham.
He received his formal education at Camilla Consolidated High School graduating with the class of 1967.
At a very early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
He was united in marriage to the former Claretha Marcus. To this union one child was born, Coletta Renee Davis, who preceded him in death.
Over the years, he labored tirelessly in the sanitation department at Equity Group Division in Camilla. No matter what the task, he tackled each assignment with equal importance and prided himself in a job "well done." He retired after rendering more than 10 years of dedicated service.
Arthur was a very conscientious individual who embraced opportunities and the chance to experience life with open arms. He was goodhearted and had an everlasting love for family and friends. He was one of those rare people with the unique ability to draw people toward him and become a part of their lives. He always had a positive attitude, was quick to smile and laugh, and was an expert at making others feel good. He was a loving father and brother, a nurturing uncle, a caring cousin, and a loyal friend. You couldn't know him without being inspired by his love and devotion. Arthur enjoyed being active and had many interests during his life. He was an avid sports fan, an incredible fisherman, and a loyal fan to the shows of Tyler Perry. He will be deeply missed by all who dearly loved him.
On Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, Arthur answered the Master's call to eternal rest.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his children, Earika (Gabriel) Thomas of Augusta, Georgia, Adrain (Paul) Jackson of Newton, Georgia, Kwaiwatta (Quint) Hawk of Atlanta, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; five sisters, Queen Barney of Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah Logan, Gennie Cooper, Teresa (Freddie) Williams, of Camilla, Georgia, Vera (George) Price of Kansas City, Missouri; a devoted friend, Ramona Brown of Camilla, Georgia a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
