Artie C. Toombs Davis, affectionately known as "Aunt Sis and Ms. Sis" was born on January 27, 1921 to the late Ola Cason Toombs and John Toombs.  Ms. Sis was raised on the Butler Plantation in Camilla, Georgia.

Aunt Sis was married to William Davis, who preceded her in death. She attended school at Rockdale School in Camilla, Georgia.

As a domestic worker, she worked hard to help support her family.  Artie enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening, and being around her love ones.  Her favorite read was the Bible.  She would always encourage her family, friends, and those she came in contact with her favorite sayings, "treat people right and always do what the Lord tells you to do.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by three children, Mae Frances Hayward, Morris Neil, and Milton Davis.

She genuinely loved the Lord with all her heart.  She was a devoted member of Goodson Road Church of Christ.

On April 18, 2022, while in the care of her dedicated caregiver/daughter, Lenora, Artie transitioned to her eternal home.  She never complained.  She was a very strong lady and she lived her life with a complete holy boldness.

Memories will forever saturate the hearts of her children, Lenora Davis of Camilla, Georgia, Willie (Cynthia) Davis of Oklahoma, William Davis of Hearne, Texas, Randy Davis of Houston, Texas; thirty-seven grandchildren; seventy-seven great grandchildren; twenty-eight great-great grandchildren; one sister, Claretha Keaton of Houston, Texas; one sister-in-law, Mary Gladys Geter of Camilla, Georgia; a host of extended family, church family and friends.
