On October 24, 1981, a blessed addition named Artree Francoise Hayward was made to the lineage of the late Eugene Hayward, Jr. and Mae Frances Davis Hayward.  Her life held roots in Albany and Camilla, Georgia with family traditions of serving God at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  Her family bond was decreased by those preceding her in death who were he'd paternal grandparents, Eugene Hayward, Sr., and Rachel Redden Hayward; maternal grandparents, William Davis, Sr., and Artie Mae Toombs; niece, Rachel Jones, and brother-in-law, Bryan Jordan.  On August 25, 2023, Artree transacted her final Earthly withdrawal at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and made a deposit into eternal paradise.

Artree was educated in the Dougherty County School System at Monroe Comprehensive High School and was a 2000 Golden Tornado graduate.  She continued that Golden life as a Ram on the campus of the unsinkable Albany State University and received a BS Mathematics in 2004.  She attended Columbus State University and obtained an MS Mathematics in 2005.  She was employed with Turner Job Corps until her health declined.  Her real calling should have been a comedian.  She never missed a moment to make something funny out of a situation, cheer you up when you were down, or say the MOST!! at the MOST unexpected times.

Those remaining to cherish her memories are five sisters, Kamala Jordan and Berrylynn (Tony, Sr.) Saxon of Camilla, Georgia, Deatrice Hayward and Vanessa Hayward of Albany, Georgia, Natalie Hayward of Panama City, Florida; two brothers, Darrius (Alexias) Hayward of Leesburg, Georgia, Carson (Khalea) Hayward of Simpsonville, South Carolina; eight nephews, Tony Saxon, Jr., Teon Saxon, Charles Grissom, Xavier Wadley, Darrius J. Hayward, Kaleb Wadley, Antonio Irvin, Josiah Hayward; two nieces, Stefanie Grissom and Kennedy Walker; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
