Obituary
The funeral service of Barbara J. Wallace Robinson, will be conducted Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 12:00 noon, at River Road Church of Christ, 2023 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany. Bro. Robert Clemons, Sr., will officiate. Interment will follow in Saint Mary Memorial Cemetery, 6829 St. Mary Road, Baconton, Georgia.
Pallbearers will be brothers of the church.
Barbara Jewel Robinson was born on June 24, 1940 to George Wallace and Leola Wallace.
Sis. Robinson attended and graduated from Camilla Consolidated School in 1958. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Albany State College, (now University) in 1965. She also attended and graduated from Georgia State University in 1976 with a Master of Education Degree. Additional studies were done at University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Sis. Robinson was a faithful member of the River Road Church of Christ having been added to the church in 2003 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Sis. Robinson held membership with the National Teachers Association, Albany State University Alumini Association, and various other organizations. She was also a former member of Debonaire Women Club.
Sis. Robinson was married to Robert Walker, Sr., who preceded her in death. To this union three children were born.
She was later united in marriage to Dr. David Robinson.
Following a protracted illness, Sis. Robinson departed this life on Monday, February 22, 2010.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Robert J. Walker, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, Eric Oneal (Deon) Walker of Marietta, Georgia, Kristopher Marland (Alecia) Walker of Albany, Georgia; sisters, Betty Wilson of Leesburg, Georgia, June (Benjamin) Scott of Albany, Georgia, Joan (Clinton) Carter of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Cherry Wallace of Pelham, Georgia; four brothers, William Wallace of Colorado Springs, Colorado, George Wallace of Tallahassee, Florida, James Wallace of Augusta, Georgia, John Wallace of Pelham, Georgia; grandchildren, Ryeshia Walker of McDonough, Georgia, Paige Walker of Albany, Georgia, Cameron Walker, Bryson Walker of Marietta, Georgia, Sydney Walker of Miami, Florida; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
