Obituary
The funeral service of Bennie Lee (Jerry) Harris, will be conducted Saturday, November 8, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at the Robert Jester Mortuary. Minister Ray Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Harris was born October 21, 1955, in Mitchell County, Georgia to Annie Ruth Harris, who preceded him in death.
He united with the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
He was employed with Green Oak Turfs of Camilla, Georgia.
A sister, Chatty Delois Reese, also preceded him in death.
He departed this life on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Survivors include five children, Romerus (Lakesha) Wesley, Bennie Harris, Jr., Tyrone Harris, Jerrice Harris of Albany, Georgia, Wadria Harris of Pelham, Georgia; nine grandchildren; one sister, Joann (Willie) Hunter of Anniston, Alabama; grandmother, Pearl Eva Harris of Camilla, Georgia; three nieces; six great nieces and nephews; three aunts, Maggie Harris, Palestine Pinkins, Susie Harris of Camilla, Georgia; two uncles, Roy Harris, Jr. of Camilla, Georgia, Willie James Harris of Albany, Georgia; special friends, Ollie Mae Williams and Pamela Williams.
