Obituary
Bessie was born July 15, 1922 in Camilla, Georgia to the late Will Hicks and Mattie Denson. She married Hargrove Wimberly. To this union ten children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hargrove, their four children, James Nelson Wimberly, Georgie Mae Hines, Eugene Wimberly, and Willie Wimberly; a son-in-law, Albert Dewberry.
Ms. Bessie was known for her kind heart and outgoing spirit. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed being outside sitting on the porch in her rocking chair.
Her love and fond memories are left to be cherished by her children, two daughters, Betty Dewberry of Albany, Georgia, Mary Hurst (Rickey Flemming) of Baconton, Georgia; six sons, Daniel (Shirley) Hicks of Ewing, New Jersey, Jimmy (Monique) Wimberly, Pastor Curtis (Salitha) Wimberly, Arthur (Damita) Wimberly, Andrew Lee Wimberly, Ellis Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia; one son-in-law, Eugene Hines of Pelham, Georgia; twenty-two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
