Betty Deloise Brown was born January 26, 1965 to the late Estelle "Sue" Brown and Benjamin C. Dawson in Mitchell County, Georgia. She was formally educated and graduated from Mitchell-Baker High School in 1984.
Betty accepted CHRIST as her Savior at an early age and united with Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In 1990, Betty heard her earthly calling and became a Certified Nursing Assistant through Meadows College of Business. In 1993, she joined Archbold Home Health Services and it was during those 20 plus years, she would patiently and attentively care for the area sick and shut-in. Her services were always guaranteed to come with that beautiful smile of hers. She would also utilize her God given gift to assist her family members during their time of need. Through it all, if you asked Betty of her greatest accomplishment, she would smile and say her son; for whom she loved more than life itself.
God recognized the work that Betty had put in on earth. On January 30, 2018, he offered her a promotion that she just could not refuse. She shed her old body in preparation of meeting Him in the air where a celebration was waiting to meet her there. Oh, the familiar faces that were waiting on her. Her mother, father, big sisters, brother and other family members cheered her on as through tears of delight she donned her wings.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories her son, Dontavius Davis; two grandchildren, Zamir Davis and Journee Jackson; five sisters, Debra (Willie) Fluellen, Claretha Spence, India Brown, Janice Willis and Minister Lillie Thomas-Jones; seven brothers, James Brown, Freddie Brown, Victor (Rose) Brown, Melvin (Maggie) Dawson, Perry Dawson, James Dawson, and Peter Dawson; one uncle, Benjamin (Elvira) Brown; special friends, Patricia Bryant-Dobson, Lajuana Smith, Valerie Johnson, and Marjorie Lawson; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
