Betty Jean Wallace Wilson passed away December 21, 2025 in Miami, Florida at West Memorial Hospital. Betty was born November 29, 1937 to the late George C. Wallace and Annie Leola Burks Wallace who both preceded her in death. Betty was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Wilson and seven siblings: Jericho Wallace, John Ray Wallace, James Wallace, Barbara Wallace Walker Robinson, George Wallace Jr., William Wallace and June Wallace Woodford Scott.
Betty received her early education in the schools of Mitchell County Georgia and graduated high school in 1957. Later in life she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Florida Memorial College in Miami, Florida. After getting her Bachelor's Degree, she worked for Miami Dade Jr. College until she retired in 2006.
Betty was a devoted member of the Churches of Christ beginning at Miami Garden Church of Christ in Miami, Florida and continued at Gaines Avenue Church of Christ when she relocated to Albany, Georgia twenty years ago. She placed membership at US 19 Church of Christ about a year ago and remained faithful until her death.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories her beloved son and daughter- in-law, Jackie B. Wilson and Angela Benett Wilson of Miami, Florida; seven grandchildren that she loved so dearly: Adrian Wilson, Andre Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Dominic Algudin, Chantelle Wilson, Nicole Wilson, Sidney Wilson, seven great grandchildren; two sisters: Joan Wallace Starr Carter and Cherry Wallace Hawkins, and many other relatives and friends.
As we remember Betty, we celebrate a life well lived and marked by unwavering devotion and love for family and most of all her faith in God.
