Bridgette Marshelle Hudson, affectionately known as "Sweet Pea," passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at her residence in Pelham, Georgia. Born on July 28, 1965, in Camilla, Georgia, Bridgette’s life was one marked by devotion, love, and an outspoken spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Bridgette was a proud alumna of Mitchell-Baker High School in Camilla, where she distinguished herself not only academically but also through her athletic talents. She played softball with the Mitchell County Lady Tigerettes and was a dedicated track athlete during her high school years. Her passion for sports blended seamlessly with her love of family and community. Known for her warmth and openness, Bridgette welcomed many into her home with generosity and care.  

Her personality was vibrant and full of life; she was outspoken yet deeply loving, caring, and always devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members. Bridgette had a particular joy in cooking, a talent she used to create countless cherished moments for those around her.

Bridgette was a member of Fresh Wind Ministries of Pelham, Georgia.  

She was the daughter of the late Annie Doris Hudson and Eddie Hudson, who preceded her in death. Bridgette’s legacy continues through her immediate survivors including her beloved children: Willie (Victoria) McIntyre, Lavarisa (Shermetrius) McIntyre, Silvester (Theresa) Carolina, Ditrase (Chasity) Carolina, Keimonda Vaughn, Shadondra Vaughn, Ja'Jauna Vaughn, Adrian Evans, and Deandre Carolina. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with sisters, brothers, in-laws, other relatives, and friends who will carry fond memories of her spirit and kindness.

Bridgette Marshelle Hudson’s life was a testament to love, family, and unwavering devotion. Her presence enriched the lives of many, and her memory will remain a guiding light for all who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed, but her enduring influence and affectionate nature will continue to inspire her family and community for generations to come.
