Calnoisa Florence, daughter of the late John Henry Florence, Sr. and Luretha Whitfield Florence, was born October 3, 1934 in Mitchell County, Georgia.
Affectionately known as "Calnois", she grew up in the Branchville Community. She attended and graduated from the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, Florida.
She confessed CHRIST and joined the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she was a dutiful member until her health failed. She was well-known in the community. She will also be remembered for her favorite hobbies: cooking, babysitting, walking, sewing, crocheting, cross word puzzles, and watching baseball.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Florence Thomas, a brother, John Henry Florence, Jr., two nieces, Joy Thomas and Rachel Florence.
She is survived by three siblings, Johnnie Mae Florence Allen of New York, New York, Curtis Sims Florence of Mascotte, Florida, Linda Florence Baker of Orlando, Florida; two aunts, Helen Brownlee of Hollywood, Florida and Annie Mae Colston of Ocala, Florida; one uncle, Don Colston of Ocala, Florida; one sister-in-law, Janice Sims Florence; one brother-in-law, Otis Thomas.
She is also survived by four nieces, Pamela Florence of Camilla, Georgia, Andrea Florence of Camilla, Georgia, Gale Thomas of Brentwood, Tennessee, Sonia Allen of New York, New York, Lessie Frazier of Atlanta, Georgia; six nephews, John Florence, III (Candy) of Camilla, Georgia, Fredrick Florence (Amber) of Atlanta, Georgia, Eric Thomas (Sara) of Charlottesville, Virginia, Stephen William I (Lavonda) of Orlando, Florida, Lovis Baker of Orlando, Florida, Timothy Allen, Jr. of New York, New York; five great nieces; ten great nephews; many cousins, relatives, and friends.
