Catherine Broadwater was born May 6, 1941, to the late Vasa and Mary Williams.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended Pleasant View Baptist Church in Pelham, Georgia. On December 29, 2024, she passed away peacefully at her home in Camilla, Georgia.

Catherine married Edward Broadwater Jr. and from this union four sons were born. She made a career as lead cook at Ashburn Hill in Moultrie, Georgia for over 20 years. Once leaving there she continued her desire for cooking at Sunset Farms where she retired earlier this year.

Catherine was a caring soul who found joy in giving and connecting with others. Known for her passion for cooking and catering, she was delighted in preparing meals and sharing them with anyone in need or simply to bring people together. She found joy in activities such as hosting gatherings for her family, and creating moments that will be cherished forever.  Her love of fishing, creating floral arrangements, and dancing showcased her creativity and zest for life while her dedication to attending church reflected her deep faith and commitment to her community. Catherine touched countless lives with her warm heart, radiant smile and unwavering generosity.

Catherine was recognized for her giving spirit. She believed that no one should go hungry and often shared meals with anyone in need turning simple moments into cherished memories.  Her door was always open, and heart was even more welcoming beyond her generosity.

Catherine is preceded in death by her late husband, Edward Broadwater Jr.; her son, Clint Broadwater, and parents, Vasa and Mary Williams.

Catherine leaves to carry her legacy: Her children, Edward III (Ophelia) Broadwater of Beaumont, Mississippi, Dewayne (Harriet) Broadwater of Largo, Florida, and Tyrone (Shelia) Broadwater of Camilla, Georgia. Her siblings, Mary, Bertha, Grace and Milton. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, and her loving companion, Anthony Tyrone Walls.
