Charles Silas, Sr. was born on April 29, 1949 to the late Charlie C. Silas and Dollie Mae Peoples Ross.

He confessed CHRIST at an early age and joined Union Missionary Baptist Church.

C. C., as he was affectionately called, attended Camilla Consolidated High School.

He departed this life on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Montezuma Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Sonja J. Ford of Birmingham, Alabama, Sasha McCraw of Grovetown, Georgia; a son, Charles Silas, Jr. of Albany, Georgia; one step-daughter, Jacqueline (Xavier) Jones of Albany, Georgia; one sister, Catherine (Alexander) Royal of Camilla, Georgia; two brothers, Willie C. (Vivian) Ross, Jr. of Pelham, Georgia, Jeffery (Sherita) Ross of Albany, Georgia; twenty grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
