Charles Lee West was born February 23, 1938 to Mrs. Lessie Lee West-Dixon in Mitchell County, Georgia.

He was educated in the public schools of Mitchell County.

His past occupation includes a mechanic with the Postal Service.  He spent two years in the Army where he attended some college courses.

Affectionately called "Yolk", or "West", Charles liked to play the lottery and eat all kinds of snacks.  He liked listening to the television.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

He departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a nephew, Charles Warren Jackson of Thomasville, Georgia; other relatives and friends.
