IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clemmie
Collier
March 2, 1956 – July 14, 2019
Clemmie Levert Collier was born March 2, 1956. He was the eldest child born to Mr. Clmmie Lee and Mrs. Christine Master Collier. Both parents, a daughter, Varshikka Collier, and a granddaughter, Madison Collier, preceded him in death.
On July 14, 2019, GOD called his child to rest.
At an early age, Clemmie confessed CHRIST and joined the Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church. As a youth he was very active in the church and served as a royal ambassador where he was taught leadership and to love and serve the Lord.
Clemmie graduated from Mitchell County High School in the class of 1974. After high school, he decided to dedicate his service to protect and defend our county by joining the United States Army. During his tour of duty, he served as a combat engineer in the Vietnam War and was recognized for his honorable service when he was discharged. Upon his return to civilian life, he was employed by the Marine Corps Logistics Base.
Affectionately called "Bert" and "Clown" by family, Climmie's personality was quiet and laid back. He was caring, loving, and sweet in his own way. He loved life and didn't let the cares of the world stress him.
He was married to Vivian Morman Collier. During this union four children were born, Yumekia, Malcolm, Marshikka and Varshikka.
Survivors are his children, Yumekia Collier, Pastor Malcolm (Pastor Carla) Collier of Moultrie, Georgia, Marshikka Collier of Camilla, Georgia; grandchildren, Johnesha, Johna, Janiya, Marquez, Darina, Daris, Brittany, Jada, and Jeremiah; three great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Collier of Atlanta, Georgia, Earl Collier of Camilla, Georgia; two sisters, Geralyn (Matthew) Haynes of Summerville, South Carolina, Zelda Collier of Camilla, Georgia; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
