Cleveland Williams was born April 21, 1943 to the late Levi Williams and Athenia Moore in Mitchell County, Georgia.

During the early years of his life, he attended Camilla Consolidated High School and was a member of the class of 1963.

Cleveland confessed CHRIST and united with the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Branchville Community where he served faithfully as a deacon until health prevented him from doing so.

Cleveland's work career was with the City of Camilla.  Being employed with the City of Camilla enabled him to care for his family unconditionally.  He retired from the City of Camilla in October, 2016.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was devoted to his family and enjoying spending time with them.

Tootsie, as he was affectionately called, was a very kind and gentle-hearted person who embraced life's experiences with open arms.  His kind words and deeds were deeply felt by family and friends.  His engaging personality captured the hearts of all who knew him.

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, Cleveland's season of life ended and quietly entered into eternal rest.

T hose left to cherish his memories include a wife, Lizzie Pearl Silas Williams of Camilla, Georgia; two sons, Cleveland Williams, Jr. and Thomas Dewayne Williams of Trenton, New Jersey; two daughters, Elaine Williams of Trenton, New Jersey and Terri Lynn Brooks of Camilla, Georgia; six sisters-in-law, Freddie M. Williams, Annie D. Williams, Ira Jean Williams, Shirley (Robert) Johnson of Camilla, Georgia, Lucile Adams of Metter, Georgia, Kaye Logan of Hope Mills, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
