Obituary

Cornelius Walter "C. W." Revis, II transitioned from this life in the cool of the early morning on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation in Albany, Georgia.  C. W. was born November 26, 1933 in Newton, Georgia to Cornelius Walter Revis, I and Polly Ann Miller Revis Gilbert.  He was the youngest child and the only boy of the five children born to Polly Ann and Cornelius, Sr.

To most people, he was "C. W."; while family called him "Brother", and friends called him "Jumper".  To Margrine, his wife of 58 years who preceded him in death on August 3, 2010, he was just "Revis".

C. W. joined the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church of Newton at an early age.  His last service as an active member of Thankful Church was as the Superintendent of Sunday School.

His occupation included being a bus driver for the Baker County Board of Education, where he also was the bus mechanic.  In addition, he was an auto mechanic and farmer.  As a younger man, C. W. was known for driving the latest cars and driving them fast!

The memories of his life will be honored through his children:  Silvana Jenkins (Harold) of Camilla, Georgia, Anthony Revis (Linda) of Freeland, Michigan, Kim Drummond (Earl) of Wheatley Heights, New York, John K. Revis (Sonji Lynn) of Lansing, Michigan, and Timothy Revis of Newton, Georgia; and son-in-law, Curtis Clark of Atlanta, Georgia.  His grandchildren are Kerel Revis, Alexandria Douglas, Prikenya Revis, Krisica Clark, Shakis Drummond, Ariana Ward, Kemel Clark, Kaniel Revis, Akeen Drummond, Keyondra Freeman, and Kendalyn Revis.  He is also survived by sisters:  Toy Whitaker, Rita North, and Alice Revis; sisters-in-law, Jacquelyn Ross (Jackie) and Veronice Gilbert; brothers-in-law, Charles Gilbert and Freddie Thomas; four great grandchildren.

"Brother" was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Margrine; two children, Cornelius Walter Revis, III and Amelia Kay Clark; sisters, Emma Jean Berry and Dreamy Revis; and both of his parents.

In death, C. W. is now united with CHRIST, leaving behind memories that will be cherished for many years to come by those who knew and loved him.
