Deacon Herman Williams, Sr., was born August 11, 1951 to the late Alonzo Williams, Sr. and Hattie Williams.  He departed this life Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Willson Hospice House, Albany, Georgia.  He graduated from Camilla Consolidated High School, enlisted in the United States Army for a number of years.  He attended Albany Technical College and was employed at Turner Job Corp and Mitchell County High School where he trained students in the field of Automotive Mechanics.  He was a faithful member and Deacon of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Deacon Williams was preceded in death by his father, mother, one sister, three brothers, and several aunts and uncles.

He leaves to mourn a son, Herman (Lakesha) Williams, Jr. of Grayson, Georgia, daughter, Tiffany Williams of Camilla, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jaylin Williams, Jordin Williams, Damarion Williams; one brother, Alonzo Williams, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan; one sister, Margaret (Benny) Crapps of Albany, Georgia; a devoted aunt, Claretha Vicks of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Mary Williams of Pelham, Georgia; two nieces, Tameka Williams of Pelham, Georgia and Charlotte (Nathaniel, Sr.) Harvey of Camilla, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
