In Loving Memory

Deidra Sabrina Thomas Hudson entered this world on January 28, 1970 to Ola Mae Thomas and George Thomas.

She graduated from Mitchell-Baker High School.  She received an Associates Degree and Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice at Southwest Georgia Technical College and was pursuing a degree for Medical Assistance at Ivy Bridge College.

While attending high school, she met her husband, the love of her life for twenty years, Howard L. Hudson.  Together they have four children and one loving grandson.

She joined Union Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was an active member of the Senior Missionary Society, Praise and Worship Team, a member of the Activity Committee and the Youth Director, until the Lord called her home on January 27, 2013.  While attending Union, she stayed devoted and dedicated to serving the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  No more if she was sick or busy, she would drop and stop everything she could to fulfill an assignment.

Deidra's life was a testimony itself.  Just knowing her was a blessing.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband, Howard L. Hudson of Camilla, Georgia; twin sons, Phillip Thomas and Phil Thomas of Camilla, Georgia; two daughters, oldest Abrianna Barnes and youngest Kyneshia Hudson of Camilla, Georgia.  She also leaves her loving grandson, Braylen Barnes.

To go on, Deidra also leaves great memories to her mother, Ola Mae Thomas of Camilla, Georgia; brothers and sisters, George (Rosa) Thomas, Sr. of Albany, Georgia, Joe (Diane) Thomas of Spanaway, Washington, Ruthie Thomas of Camilla, Georgia, Pearl Thomas of Washington, D.C., Dannie (Darlene) Thomas, June (Willie) Parks of Camilla, Georgia, Billy Thomas of Berlin, Germany, Abby Gail (Tory) Quimbley, Willie Thomas of Austin, Texas; and precious nieces, nephews, and friends.

A limb has fallen from the family tree
A voice is heard that says, "Grieve not for me"
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song
The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin
Until the day come's we're together again.
