Obituary

Delois G. Butler, affectionately known as "Weeda", was born on June 7, 1954 to Thelma Harris Bell and the late A. B. Gilbert.

She was educated at Camilla Consolidated School System. She confessed to CHRIST as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of Second New Salem Baptist Church in Vada, Georgia. She was employed at Mitchell County School System for many years and also with Rhonda Hilliard for several years.

She enjoyed dancing and making people laugh.

Delois was called home to glory on Monday, August 7, 2017.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Butler; grandson, Terry Butler, Jr., and brother, Roy Elliot.

She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Jacqueline (Charlie) Malone of Albany, Georgia; one stepdaughter, Demetra Butler of Camilla, Georgia; two sons, Jerome Butler of Camilla, Georgia, Terry Butler and his loving friend, Rebecca of Albany, Georgia; a mother, Thelma Bell of Albany, Georgia; a stepfather, John Bell of Albany, Georgia; four sisters, Thelma Lucas and Willie Mae Lucas of Albany, Georgia, Mary Cunningham of Thomasville, Georgia, Gloria Jean Elliott of Clearwater, Florida; one brother, Ernest (Betty) Lucas of Camilla, Georgia; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members; two good dear friends, Roberta Knight and Carolyn Dawson of Camilla, Georgia; a very special friend, Roy Robinson.
