Obituary

Earl Jerome Collier was born in Camilla, Georgia on October 16, 1971, to Mr. Clemmie Lee Collier and Mrs. Christine Masten Collier.  Both parents, a brother, Mr. Clemmie Levert Collier, nephews, Corey Wimes, Derrick Collier, a niece, Varshikka Collier, and a great niece, Madison Collier, preceded him in death.

On June 23, 2023, with love ones surrounding his bedside, Earl transitioned from his earthly vessel to his heavenly home.

Earl accepted CHRIST as his Lord and Savior and joined the Great Union Missionary Baptist Church.  He was active in Church School, the Jr. Usher Board and the Men's Ministry.  Earl was educated in the Mitchell County School System graduating in the Mitchell-Baker Class of 1989.  He was very skillful and inquisitive.  He took initiative to tinker with things to find out the best approach to make it work.  As a result, he mastered the installation of vehicle audio systems and application of tint on windows.  He also provided barbering services.  Because of his quiet nature he was perceived as being a loner.  He was very observant and selective in letting people into his personal circle.  Once people got to know him, he showed his witty side. He had a heart of gold and believed in supporting family and loved ones.

Earl was employed by the City of Camilla in the Electric Department for more than 31 years. He attended numerous schools and training classes to elevate his rank within the dept.

He was a devoted and faithful member of Sale City Lodge #267, Al Rakim Temple #142, Albany Consistory #176 PHA and the Camilla Shine Club.

Earl leaves to mourn his loving caring wife, Cushena Walker Collier of Camilla, Georgia; a daughter, Shaquantus Waiters of Camilla, Georgia; a son, Bryceson Walker of Camilla, Georgia; a grandson, Destin (Prince) Reese, Jr. of Camilla, Georgia; two sisters, Geralyn (Matthew) Haynes of Summerville, South Carolina, and Zelda Collier of Camilla, Georgia; a brother, Raymond Collier, Sr. of Camilla, Georgia; a host of best friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
