LIFE LEGACY
A TIME TO BE BORN:
Mrs. Eletha Ross Silas was born November 15, 1923 to Mr. Henderson Ross and Mrs. Ophelia Barnes Ross.
A TIME TO DIE:
On Saturday, October 6, 2012, the Lord ushered Mrs. Eletha Ross Silas into His presence. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. "Sister", as she is known to many, confessed Christ at an early age and didn't mind sharing the Good News of the Master through song or a kind word.
A TIME TO LAUGH:
To be in her honor was an honor and a privilege. Her favorite motto for her life was "I'm Doing Fine"! She didn't complain and even in the times of pain, she managed to smile and say, "I'm Doing Fine ....... F-I-N-E". She instilled in her children and grandchildren the word of the Lord through song. She taught her children and grandchildren how to love the Lord with all their hearts, mind and soul in her own way.
A TIME TO CRY:
Through our tears of pain and sorrow, we see "Mama". "Granny", "Auntie", "Miss Letha". We loved her so much, but the Lord Jesus removed her from this earthly vessel to eternal rest.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie C. Silas, Jr.; her eldest son, Charlie C. Silas, Jr.; and one grandchild, Ora Jean Silas.
She leaves to cherish her rich legacy and remember her always, six children, James David (Gloria) Silas, Betty Jean Silas of Camilla, Georgia, Angela (Robert) Lofton of Newton, Georgia, Edith Silas of Columbus, Georgia, Delphie Silas of Fairfax, Virginia, Freda Silas of Camilla, Georgia; one brother, Frank (Odessa) Ross, Sr. of Camilla, Georgia; one sister, Lillie Mae Ross of Camilla, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Sallie Mae Silas of Camilla, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; devoted neighbors, Sara Peal Burns, Earnestine Smith, Easter Smith of Camilla, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial
You can only have one mother
Patient kind and true;
No other friend in all the world,
Will be the same to you.
When other friends forsake you,
To mother you will return,
For all her loving kindness,
She asks nothing in return.
As we look upon her picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.
Sweet Jesus, take this message,
To our dear mother up above;
Tell her how we miss her,
And give her all our love.
Your Children
