The funeral service of Ella Nell Jackson, will be conducted Saturday, March 13, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 6829 St. Mary Road, Baconton, Georgia. Reverend Ananias Hopkins, III, will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakview Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricardo Brown, Darian Ross, Jarvis Ross, Jimmie Ross, Jarion Willingham, Jason Willingham.
Active Pallbearers will be Harry Morgan, Johnny Morgan, Kenneth Morgan, Ulysses Morgan, David Ross, Louis Ross.
Ella Nell Jackson, daughter of the late Lena Mack Ross and Louis Ross, was born September 10, 1930 in Mitchell County, Georgia.
She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church.
She was united in marriage in 1967 to Johnnie Jackson who preceded her in death.
She departed this life on Monday, March 8, 2010, at her residence.
Preceding her in death were two sons, Charlie Jackson and Othel Marcus. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Ross, Solomon Ross, Ulysses Ross, and one sister, Cora Mae Morgan.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Claretha Willingham of Camilla, Georgia; five sons, Jackie (Jackqueline) Ross, Jimmie (Portia) Ross, Fred Ross of Camilla, Georgia, Solomon Ross, Randy Ross of Atlanta, Georgia of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Claretha Pettigrew of Camilla, Georgia, Lucille Hicks of Miami, Florida; one brother, Louis Ross of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a brother-in-law, King "K.J." (Virginia) Jackson of Camilla, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Bernice (W. H.) Haynes, of Camilla, Georgia; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, several foster children she reared, other relatives and friends.
