Elma Lee Williams was born March 10, 1931 to Otis Bell and Katie Mae Johnson. At an early age, Elma accepted Christ as her Savior. She was a member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, where she actively served on the Usher board until she was no longer able to attend due to health issues.
She was married to Johnny Charles Williams, who proceeded her in death in 1999. To their union were born five children: Ida Williams Corinthian (Carlton Corinthian) of Belle Glade, Florida; James T. Williams of Camilla, GA; Fayte Williams ( proceeded in death, 2012); Elma Williams Abrams (John "Bill" Abrams) of Camilla, GA; Juanita Williams of Pensacola, FL. She was proceeded in death by maternal brothers: John Henry Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson, Robert Johnson, Horace Johnson, Charles Reddick and Josephus Reddick; maternal sisters, Lillie C. Haywood and Bertha M. Reddick.
Elma departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 5, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her children; maternal siblings, James Johnson (Juanita) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rose Lyons of Camilla, GA; 16 paternal siblings; Grandchildren: Dr. Fatima Leggett, Nikki Baker, Juana (Antonio) W. Fletcher, Shayla (Mancarious) Q. Austin, Christopher Hayward, Zavis Williams, Dwan Williams, Renata Williams Douglas, Abdu Williams, Montego Williams, Dewayne Morgan, Glenda Morgan, Kendra Morgan, 22 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
