Eugene Hayward, Jr., was born December 15, 1950 in Mitchell County, Georgia to the late Eugene Haywood, Sr. and Rachel Redden Haywood.
At an early age, he accepted CHRIST as his Lord and Savior and united with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully.
He was a 1970 graduate of Camilla Consolidated High School in Camilla, Georgia, and Albany Technical College in Albany, Georgia.
He began his employment with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company until the company closed. He later started working with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He later continued at Hall Express. At the time of his death he was employed with Baker County School System.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Mae Frances Hayward; a granddaughter, Rachel Jones; two sisters, Willo Dean Graham and Linda Hayward; two brothers, Leon Haywood, Sr. and Kenneth Morgan.
On Saturday, November 6, 2021, Eugene's earthly journey ended when he answered the Master's call to come home.
Eugene leaves to cherish his memories, six daughters, Berrlyn (Tony, Sr.) Saxon, Kamala (Bryan) Hayward-Jordan of Camilla, Georgia, Artree Hayward, Deatrice Hayward, Vanessa Hayward of Albany, Georgia, Natalie Hayward of Leesburg, Georgia; two sons, Darrius (Alexis) Hayward of Leesburg, Georgia, Carson (Khalea) Hayward of Greenville, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, Tony Saxon, Jr., Teon Saxon, Charles Grissom, Stefanie Grissom, Xavier Wadley, Darrius J. Hayward, Kaleb Wadley, Kennedy Walker, Antonio Irvin, Josiah Hayward; four sisters, Chattie Haywood-Wheeler of Gainesville, Florida, Virginia (Vernon) Haywood-Jackson, Deidrea Haywood-Edmonds, Tammy Morgan of Camilla, Georgia; four brothers, Clarence (Tracey) Hayward, Sr. of Leesburg, Georgia, Dave Haywood of Forest Park, Georgia, Sam (Wanda) Haywood, Sr. of Gainesville, Florida, Harry (Felicia) Morgan of Albany, Georgia; a special loving friend, Linda Owens, of Camilla, Georgia; a mother-in-law, Artie C. Toombs of Camilla, Georgia; three sisters-in-law, Gloria Haywood, Chanessa Morgan of Albany, Georgia, Lenora Perry of Camilla, Georgia; four brothers-in-law, Melvin Graham of Detroit, Michigan, Randy Davis of Houston, Texas, Willie (Cynthia) Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, William Davis, Jr. of Houston, Texas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
