The funeral service of Evins Styles, will be conducted Thursday, May 28, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., at the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, 331 Peachtree Street, Camilla. Reverend Sylvester Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church and Class of 1973.

Active Pallbearers will be Aaron Hall, Willie Hall, Travis Hampton, Montie Oliver, Jamie Sanders, Jermaine Sanders.

Evins Styles, son of Frances Styles and the late Douglas Walker, was born January 6, 1956 in Mitchell County, Georgia.

"Wood", as he was affectionately called by friends, accepted Christ as his savior in the early years of his life and united with the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Grady Pinkney.

He was a graduate of Mitchell County High School Class of 1973. After graduation, he joined the Army branch of military in 1973 and served as a Field Wireman. He earned a National Defense Service Medal and Sharp Shooter Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.

On Thursday afternoon, May 21, 2009, his earthly journey ended and God said "It's time to rest."

Evans leaves to cherish his memories his loving devoted mother, Frances Styles of Camilla, Georgia; four sisters, Geraldine Moore, Carolyn Hall, Shirley (Earl) Sanders, Sandra Styles of Camilla, Georgia; one sister, Gloria Hampton, preceded him in death; one brother, Johnny Williams of Camilla, Georgia; a best friend who was like a brother, Montie Oliver of Baker County, Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Earl Sanders and Lawson Hampton of Camilla, Georgia; one aunt, Mary Teasley of Pontiac, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends.
