August 13, 1955 – March 24, 2022
Ms. Faye Silas, one of the twin daughters of the late B. J. Silas and Sallie Mae Silas, was born on August 13, 1955 in Mitchell County, Georgia.
Faye confessed CHRIST at an early age joining and being baptized at Old St. Mark Church in 1964. In 1965, she united with the family at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She later joined St. Peter Missionary Baptist in Pelham, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Mikeal Lovejoy with her children. She was a devoted member of the Senior Choir and Kitchen Staff.
Faye was educated in Mitchell County School System. She worked in food services at Mitchell County Hospital for several years. She later worked with food services at Mitchell County Primary and Middle Schools. She was recently working at Mitchell County Neighborhood Center as a receptionist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death include by two sisters, Vera M. Silas and Annie J. King; one brother, Benjamin Silas.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Calvin (Lucresha) Silas of Pelham, Georgia, Kelvin Silas of Camilla, Georgia; three grandchildren, Calvin Jaquez Silas of Marrietta, Georgia, Caleb Javon Silas, and Cayla Janai Silas of Pelham, Georgia; six sisters, Freddie M. Williams, Annie D. (Boyise) Williams, Shirley S. (Robert) Johnson, Lizzie P. (Cleveland) Williams all of Camilla, Georgia, Lucile Adams, Metter, Georgia, twin sister Kaye (Kenneth) Logan of Hope Mills, North Carolina; adopted sisters, Mary A. Parker of Camilla, Georgia, Irene Wright of Milledgeville, Georgia; an adopted mother, Mrs. Ruby Daniels of Camilla, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews.
Sunset on March 24, 2022-God said Faye, Come on home where you can "Rest Easy."
