Mother Flossie B. Knight was born March 20, 1936 to John and Alien Wallace in Mitchell County, Georgia
She was educated in the public school system in Mitchell County. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Addie Knight in 1952. To this union was born thirteen children. Mother Flossie Knight was a devoted wife, loving mother and homemaker who always put her family first.
At an early age she confessed Christ and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She later received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and water baptism in the name of Jesus under the leadership of Pastor John W. Green at Miracle Temple Holiness Church of Deliverance in Thomasville, Georgia. She was a Holy Woman of God who served on the Mothers Board and as the Church Mother. Mother Knight always had a song in her heart and praise on her lips as she worshipped God in the beauty of Holiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Alien Wallace, three brothers, four sisters, one son and two daughters-in-law.
On Saturday, September 22, 2018. the Lord reached down into his garden and picked one of his fairest flowers to come home for eternal rest and receive her reward.
Mother Flossie B. Knight leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband of sixty-six years, Mr. Addie Knight; seven daughters, Ethel (Pastor John) Green, Willie Mae (Pastor Roger) Angelety, Annie Mae Jenkins, and Lillie Knight all of Cairo, Georgia, Bernice (William) Smith, Jessie (William) Cooper and Betty (Ernest, Sr.) Lucas all of Camilla, Georgia; five sons, Ike Knight, Ulysses (Mary) Knight, and William Knight all of Cairo, Georgia, David Knight of St. Petersburg, Florida; one brother, Berry Wallace of Camilla, Georgia.
She also leaves to cherish her memories thirty-nine grandchildren, sixty-nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and dear friends.
