Freddie C. Toombs was born in Camilla, Georgia on June 28, 1960 to Mary Gladys Toombs Geter and the late John Robert Toombs.
At an early age, he accepted CHRIST as his Lord and Savior and united with the Habakkuk Missionary Baptist Church of Camilla, Georgia.
Freddie was educated in the public school of Mitchell County, Camilla, Georgia. After high school, Freddie was gainfully employed by Balfour Poles Company and Cagles Poultry Plant of Camilla, Georgia. He served the community many years through these employment agencies before becoming disable.
During Freddie's dash of life he also had the opportunity of serving in the area of his passion which was preparing and serving food. For a number of years Freddie served as the Food Service manager of Ezekiel Valley Restoration and Regeneration Recovery Ministry, located in Fulton County. This ministry was a true blessing from God for Freddie, which he thoroughly enjoyed and served with love and dedication.
On Monday, July 22, 2019, Freddie departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest.
He leaves to cherish his many precious memories one daughter, Latonya (Anthony) Blasingame of Warner Robins, Georgia; a son, Devin Jackson of Camilla, Georgia; a mother, Mary Toombs Geter of Camilla, Georgia; one grandson, Damien Blasingame of Warner Robins, Georgia; six sisters, Shirley (Roman) Mobley, Alice Quimbly of Augusta, Georgia, Bonnie (Starley) Odoms, Angela Toombs of Albany, Georgia, Mary Morman and Lucille Toombs Hill of Camilla, Georgia; four brothers, Eddie (Gwen) Toombs, Adolph Toombs of Camilla, Georgia, Forrest (Sonya) Toombs of Vancouver, Washington, John Toombs, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; three aunts, Louise Toombs Silbley of Albany, Georgia, Claretha Toombs Keaton of Houston, Texas, and Artie Toombs Davis of Camilla, Georgia; a host of devoted nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
