Obituary

Georgia Mae Spicer Myrick was born on March 4, 1950 to the late Luciel Spicer and the late R. J. Simpson of Pelham, Georgia.  She received her education in the school system of Mitchell County, Georgia.

On August 7, 1981, she married Larry Lee Myrick.  This marriage of thirty-four years was blessed with two children.

Georgia was a member of St. Luke Teaching Ministries Church.  She worked on the Usher Board until her health failed.

Georgia departed this life on January 13, 2016 at Whigham Nursing Home in Whigham, Georgia.  Along with her mother and father, her grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, three sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, aunts, and uncles preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband, Larry Lee Myrick, Sr. of Ochlocknee, Georgia; two children, Larry Lee Myrick, Jr. of Meigs, Georgia and Doreatha Myrick of Ochlocknee, Georgia; two grandchildren, Cameron J. Myrick of Thomasville, Georgia and Zechariah I. Myrick of Ochlocknee, Georgia; two brothers, Johnny Spicer of Las Vegas, Nevada and Frank Spicer (wife) of Thomasville, Georgia; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Monce Myrick (Judy), Olivia Myrick of Cairo, Georgia, Joyce Ann Myrick of Ochlocknee, Georgia, Pastor A. J. McNeil of Meigs, Georgia, Ernest Myrick of Thomasville, Georgia, Jimmy Myrick (wife) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Daniel McNeil (wife) of Miami, Florida; extended family, Simpson, Session, Jenkins, Donalson, Arlines and Murphy Families; her special friends, C. Jackson, M. Vera Walden, and Jessie Coleman of Ochlocknee, Georgia; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.





You toiled so hard
For those you loved
You said goodbye to none
Your spirit flew before we knew,
Your work on earth was done.

We miss you now, our hearts are sore
As time goes by, we miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face:
No one can fill your vacant place.

Your life was love and labor
Your love for your family true.
You did the best for all of us
We will always remember you.
