Obituary
Mrs. Gladys Wimes, daughter of the late Annie Lee Boles and Jake Shivers was born February 16, 1950 in Mitchell County, Georgia.
She confessed Christ and united with the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Flint Community, Baconton, Georgia. Mrs. Wimes was educated in the public school of Mitchell County.
She was united in marriage to Tommy Wimes, Who preceded her in death.
She departed this life on Thursday, September 26, 2013 in Miami, Florida.
Survivors include three daughters, Flecia Wimes, Annette Green, April Wimes; two sons, Stacey Wimes, Michael Wimes from Miami, Florida; a stepdaughter, Betty Jean Moore; two devoted sisters, Irene Wright of Milledgeville, Georgia, Ann Daniels of Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, Larry Shivers, J. C. Shivers of Camilla, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother in law; one daughter-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Service:
The funeral service for Mrs. Gladys C. Wimes will be Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 6829 St. Mary Road, Baconton, Georgia. Reverend Ananias Hopkins, III, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the Silas's residence at 51 Fry Place , Camilla, Georgia.
