Gloria Ann Hammonds, affectionately known as "Glo", gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, July 21,2024.
She was born in Camilla, Georgia on July 11,1955 to the late Julia Mae Hammonds and Willie Hammonds. Gloria graduated from United Schools and was a faithful member of Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the finance committee and the usher board for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Hammonds and Jessie Hammonds.
Gloria was a loving and caring person that will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories two loving daughters: Sherita (Charles) Green of Pelham, Georgia and Shemika (Carlos) Moore of Camilla, Georgia; four grandchildren: Johnny Green III, Jamonica Green, Carlos Moore Jr, and Carye' Moore; five brothers: Raymond Hammonds of Dacula, Georgia, Willie Hammonds, Charles Hammonds, Larry Hammonds of Camilla, Georgia and Kenny (Sylvia) Hammonds of Albany, Georgia; two sisters: Geraldine Crump of Camilla, Georgia and Louvenia Maxwell of Pelham, Georgia; two close friends, Dorothy Pate and Jeanette Anderson; three godchildren: Michelle Brookins, Brittany Mitchell and Dave Quin Mitchell; a personal caregiver, Jennifer Wallace and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
