Obituary

Evangelist Glorious Jean Willis, fondly called Gloria, was born April 4, 1955 in Camilla, Georgia, to Eula Mae Harrison Willis and the late James Willis.

After many years of living life her way, Gloria recognized she needed a Savior and surrendered her life to CHRIST.  She kept her word and completed her mission.  In 2014, she became an Evangelist under the leadership of Chief Apostle Wilson McCray, Covenant Place Christian Center, Albany, Georgia.

Her family rise up and call her blessed.  Thankful to GOD for sharing his angel with them.

On Monday, October 26, 2015, the Lord whispered to Gloria, "Peace Be Thine.  You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, you have kept the faith:  Henceforth there is laid up for you a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give you at that day."

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her aunts, Alma Wimberly and Betty Jean Wimberly.

Gloria leaves her legacy of strength and courage to her daughter, Tessa Rena Saxon (Tracy Davis) of Valdosta, Georgia; a grandson, Fredrick Hightower of Valdosta, Georgia; a granddaughter, Lacharise Haynes of Valdosta, Georgia; a great grandchild, London Rena Hightower of Thomasville, Georgia; a mother, Eula Mae Willis of Camilla, Georgia; three sisters, Queen Bell of Warner Robins, Georgia, Barbara Harrison of Camilla, Georgia, Mildred Livingston of Baconton, Georgia; aunts and uncles, J. R. "Bubba" Harrison, Sr. (Catherine) of Camilla, Georgia, Virginia Burley, Ernestine Crump, Eddie Lou Hines (Will) of Columbus, Ohio; seven nieces, Cynthia Harrison, Ann Harrison, Sabrina Harrison, Sheila Bell, Michelle McClain, Gwen Williams, April Pitts; four nephews, Jermaine Harrison, Brian Bell, Tony Bell, Robert Garner; a special cousin, Elder J. R. "Bubba" Harrison, Jr. (Vianna) of Atlanta, Georgia; a special friend, Lorna Griffin of Moultrie, Georgia; caretaker, Cambriel Lurry; and a host of cousins and friends.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.

And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord.
