Grace Walker, born August 6, 1944, passed away on August 28, 2026, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Her life was marked by faith, family, friendship, and a spirit that brought warmth and honesty to those around her.

Grace was a woman with a great sense of humor and a straightforward way about her. She did not bite her tongue, yet her honesty was never rooted in meanness. She was kind, godly, and deeply genuine, the sort of person whose presence could fill a room and make others feel at home. She loved opening her doors to family and friends for gatherings, creating moments of togetherness that will be remembered with affection for years to come.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and shared adventures. Grace loved playing cards, traveling, and going to casinos. Above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and the love she held for them was a defining part of her life.

Her faith remained an important part of her journey. While living in Miami, Florida, she was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Miami, Florida. After moving to Camilla, Georgia, she affiliated with Union Missionary Baptist Church. She was also active in her communities, holding membership in the Honey Bees and Hornets of Miami, Florida, as well as Camilla Senior Citizens On The Move, Inc. She had a love for the Miami Dolphins and was a season ticket holder since 1965.

Grace now joins those who went before her in death: her mother, Eva Ralls; her father, John Ralls; her husband, Milton Walker; her son, Terrance Ralls; her special daughter, Vanessa Brown; her grandson, Edwin Wilson; and her beloved friend, Sara Harvey. Their memories remained part of her life, and their reunion is a comforting thought to those who mourn her passing.

Those who loved Grace will remember her for her laughter, her candor, her faith, and the way she cherished time spent with the people she loved most. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Thompson Street, Camilla, GA 31730. Burial will follow at Oakview Cemetery, 4947 Martin Luther King, Jr. Road, Camilla, GA 31730.
