Birth:
Gwennette Harris was born October 10, 1955, to Martha Herbin and C. J. Jenkins. She was the first granddaughter born to Emma Lou Burley, L. C. Jenkins, Annie Bell Jenkins.
Education:
She was educated in the public schools of Mitchell County graduating with the class of 1972. While in high school, she participated in various school functions. In her senior class year, she was voted as best dressed.
Religion:
Throughout her childhood, Gwennette was nurtured in the word of GOD. At a very early age, she accepted CHRIST as her Lord and Savior and began her Christian walk with the Lord at the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Grady Pinkney. Over the years, she was steadfast in her faith and service. Gwennette was a praying woman whose faith in GOD never wavered. She loved her church dearly.
Marriage:
She was united in holy matrimony to her beloved Ira Harris---a union that lasted for forty-four years. As a wife and mother, she ate not the bread of idleness and was diligent in caring for the needs of her family.
Character:
Gwennette was a very kind and gentle-hearted person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She considered her family and friends to be among her prized blessings, and delighted in bringing them together for various gatherings and functions. She was known for her traveling spirit, her cooking, her gentle spirit and love for all mankind.
Sunset:
On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, with family at her bedside, Gwennette answered her final call and entered into eternal rest.

Gwennette will be welcomed by her brother, Eric Bing; grandfather, L. C. Jenkins; grandmothers, Annie Bell Jenkins and Emma Lou Burley; stepmother, Doris Jenkins; stepfather, Theodore Herbin; father-in-law, Philander Robinson.
Cherished Memories:
Gwennette leaves a legacy and loving memories that will be remembered forever and ever. She leaves her husband, Ira Lee Harris of Camilla, Georgia; a daughter, Deidre (Johnny) Harris of Camilla, Georgia; a son, Keddrick Harris of Camilla, Georgia; a mother, Martha Herbin of Wilmington, Delaware; a father, C. J. Jenkins of Camilla, Georgia; two sisters, Denise (Rick) Davis of Wilmington, Delaware, Portia (Jimmy) Ross of Camilla, Georgia; a brother, Gary (Mavis) Jenkins of Camilla, Georgia; mother-in-law, Louise Robinson of Camilla, Georgia; sister-in-law, Phyllis Smith of Camilla, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Bobby Harris of West Palm Beach, Florida, Freddie (Alice) Harris of Warner Robins, Georgia, Jerome Robinson, Lanorris Robinson of Camilla, Georgia, Philander Robinson of Albany, Georgia; aunts, Marion McCray of Camilla, Georgia, Teresa Cole of Albany, Georgia, Annie Mae Gilbert of Austell Georgia, Janice (Willie) Cadenhead of Miami, Florida, Gloria (Frederick) Pruitt of Baconton, Georgia; uncle, Joe Nathan Burley of Camilla, Georgia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
