Horace Benton
Frazier, Sr.
September 10, 1953 – July 18, 2023
Horace Benton Frazier, Sr., affectionately called "Cuda" and/or "Playa", was born on September 10, 1953 to the late Charlie Ed Frazier, Jr. and Susie Mae Hayward Frazier of Camilla, Georgia. He was the third child of ten children.
He received his early education in Camilla, Georgia attending Camilla Consolidated School and Mitchell County High School. He graduated with the class of 1971. Horace was a drum major for the Marching Pirates at CCS and he also played the trumpet.
Horace confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Grady P. Pinkney. Horace had served on the Male Usher Board.
Horace became employed with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company-Albany, Georgia plant. He continued to work there until the plant closed. Horace accepted a position with Allan Spears Construction Company wherein his first job was helping to build Autry State Prison in Pelham, Georgia. Horace retired from this company. In the late 1970's Horace started his own music production company by the name of Apple Productions. His motto was "Keep the good sound, sounding good". He loved his music, westerns and sports.
Horace was joined in Holy matrimony to Lillian Bryant for thirteen years. To this union two children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Emanuel Frazier, Sr. and Artie C. Frazier, Sr.
Horace departed this life on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Wynfield Park Health & Rehabilitation in Albany, Georgia.
Horace leaves to cherish his loving memory and to continue his legacy four sons: Stacey Frazier of Pelham, Georgia, Christopher Butler of Tucker, Georgia, Cedric Frazier of Riverdale, Georgia, Horace Frazier, Jr. of Norcross, Georgia; one daughter, Tamara (Teddrick) Jackson of Tucker, Georgia; two brothers, Charlie (Mary) Frazier of Glennville, Georgia, Joe (Carolyn) Frazier of Camilla, Georgia; five sisters, Sandra Frazier of Camilla, Georgia, Bernice Frazier of Baconton, Georgia, Ruby Harris of Pelham, Georgia, Sue Lumpkin and Brenda (Don) Wimberly both of Camilla, Georgia; one uncle, Benjamin (Gustine) Hayward of Camilla, Georgia, fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
