IC Cochran, Sr. was born March 23, 1928 to the late Silas Cochran, Sr. and Annie Cochran.
He confessed Christ and was an active member and Deacon of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by ten brothers, eight sisters, one son and one daughter.
He departed this life on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at his home in Pelham, Georgia.
Mourning his loss but cherishing his memory is a very loving and devoted wife, Addie Bryant Cochran; nine sons: Ivey Hall , Highland, CA; IC Cochran, Jr, Pelham, Georgia; Louis T. Cochran, Sr., Camilla, Georgia; Donnie Cochran, Sr. (Emarvanay), McDonough, Georgia; Clifford Cochran, Sr. (Grace), Concord, Virginia; Milton Cochran (Salandra), Palmetto, Georgia; Kenneth Cochran (Charlotte), Savannah, Georgia; Michael Cochran, Sr. (Paulette), Pelham, Georgia; Santell Cochran (Sharon), Stone Mountain, Georgia; three daughters, Shirley Cochran-Hardeman, San Diego, California; Susie Cochran, Upper Marlboro, Maryland; Felicia Cochran, Omaha, Nebraska; forty-eight grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; one brother, Postelle Cochran, Peru, Illinois; one sister, Lucille Pankey, Kankakee, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at Robert Jester Mortuary on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
One precious to our hearts has gone;
The voice we loved is stilled.
The place made vacant in our home;
Can never more be filled.
Our Father in his wisdom called;
The one his love had given;
And so on earth the body lies;
His soul is safe in Heaven.
