The funeral service of Ida Mae Holt, will be conducted Saturday, December 19, 2009, at 1:00 p.m., at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 7141 Pipeline Road, Camilla. Reverend Leroy Thompson, Jr., will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Douglas Clayton, Roger Clayton, Ryan Clayton, Willie Terry.
Active Pallbearers will be Reginald Butler, Charles Coleman, Tyrone Ervin, Damon Gardner, Corey Hawkins, Lee Wallace.
Ida Mae Clayton Holt, daughter of the late Rosa Clayton and Willie L. Clayton, Sr., was born January 25, 1929 in Mitchell County, Georgia.
At an early age she confessed Christ and united with the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. For several years she was employed with Royal Poultry until her health failed.
She was united in marriage to John Lee Holt, who preceded her in death.
She departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memories, ten children, which includes six daughters, Mary Holt, Diane Holt, Gwendolyn Jackson, Aretha Gardner, Thelma (Berry) Wallace of Camilla, Georgia, Shelia Clayton of Tallahassee, Florida; four sons, Johnny Holt, Curtis (Tanya) Holt of Tallahassee, Florida, Allen Clayton, James (Charlene) Gardner of Camilla, Georgia; three sisters-in-law, Rebecca Clayton, Susie Clayton of Camilla, Georgia, Sarah Clayton of Youngstown, Ohio; thirty-four grandchildren; sixty-five great grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
