Obituary

Irene Parrish was born April 9, 1924 to the late Oscar Conner and Elaine Conner.

She departed this life on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her residence.

She was a devoted member of the Greater Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Sam Parrish, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gwendolyn Jackson.

Irene leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Henry Perry of Midway, Florida, Clarence Brown of Bainbridge, Georgia; three daughters, Ruby Morris, Janie Jackson and Pat Bailey of Midway, Florida; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A limb has fallen from the family tree
A voice is heard that says, "Grieve not for me"
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song
The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin
Until the day come's we're together again.
