IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jackqulyn Denise
Crawford
February 23, 1964 – January 22, 2025
Jackqulyn Denise Crawford, born February 23, 1964, in Camilla, Georgia, was the first child of Annie Lee Saxon Jones. As a child, Jackie accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she began her lifelong service to the Lord. As the oldest child in the Jones household (B.J., Sr. and Annie Lee), Jackie learned responsibility and stewardship after being left in charge of her siblings while their parents worked. Guided by the wisdom of her beloved grandmothers Mor (Charsie Saxon) and Ma Catherine (Catherine Burley), Jackie developed a love and passion for helping people and nurturing young children.
After graduating from Mitchell-Baker High School in 1983, Jackie began to work in Camilla. Soon she married Coral Lendo Crawford, Sr., May 4, 1984, and the two began their journey as a military family. Through the military the Crawfords traveled to Germany, Alabama, and Texas where Jackie met no stranger; she established lifelong friends in each of these places. The Crawfords settled in Columbus, Georgia, in 1995, and completed their family of four children. Jackie joined Green Hill Baptist Church and taught Sunday School then later joined Fairview Baptist Church and served in the children's ministry. Inspired by Jeremiah 29:11, Jackie encouraged many children to accept Jesus as Savior and to seek God's divine purpose and plan for their lives. Jackie was also passionate about visiting the nursing homes and spending time with the elderly. Her love for baking, reading, writing, and encouraging people helped her to bring joy to others who were always uplifted by her beautiful smile. That smile was the light of her family that loved hearing her read, seeing her inspiring notes posted throughout the house, watching her magic tricks, and laughing with her as she brought joy to every life she touched.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Mr. B.J. Jones, Sr.; sister-in-law, Annette Jones; a niece. Johanna Abeni Jones; two brothers-in-law; Keith Silas and Robert Bush; a sister-in-law, Gladys Sweet; and a niece. Santrell Sweet. On Wednesday night January 22, 2025, God the Father carried His beautiful, sweet daughter Jackqulyn Denise Crawford to her eternal home in Heaven where she will rest and be at peace in His loving arms.
Jackqulyn leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband, Coral Crawford, Sr.; her children, Kaylar Crawford, Coral (Ashley) Crawford, Jr., Kanesha (Daniel) Gardner, and Jaquez Crawford; her grandchildren, Kody Crawford, Katelyn Crawford, Riley Crawford, Camden Crawford, and Naru Gardner; her mother, Annie Lee Saxon Jones; her brothers, Tony (Berrylnn) Saxon, Benjamin Jones, Corey (Brittany) Jones, Sr., and B.J.
