IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Bullard
July 5, 1952 – March 3, 2026
James Charles Bullard, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away on March 3, 2026, at Mitchell County Hospital. Born on July 5, 1952, in Camilla, Georgia, he lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those around him.
James was a proud graduate of Camilla Consolidated High School and later earned his degree from Fort Valley State College. Throughout his career, he served as an inspector, bringing diligence and integrity to his work. Additionally, James exhibited honor and commitment through his military service. He entered the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant and concluded his service as a Captain, demonstrating leadership and dedication during his time in service.
A devoted member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, James found belonging and purpose within his faith community. His life was characterized by his warm personality and a great sense of humor, which left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. James loved spending quality time with his family and hanging out with his friends, embodying generosity and selflessness—he would give the shirt off his back for someone in need. Among his passions were farming and agriculture, hobbies that brought him immense joy and connected him to his roots.
James is survived by his loving daughters, Uganda Jackson and Janella Dupree; his son, James Charles Bullard, Jr.; and his siblings, Ruth Wright, Pauline Bullard Moore, Mary Williams, Exa Bowens, and Geneva Collier. His legacy continues through his grandchildren and great grandchild, as well as his many nieces and nephews who hold dear the memories they created together.
As we remember James Charles Bullard, we celebrate a man who cherished his family, served his country, and brought laughter and kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the stories shared and the love imparted to his family and friends.
