Obituary

James "Boo" Brown, Jr. was born December 12, 1961 to James Brown, Sr., and Rutha Mae Brown.

He accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. John Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher until he moved away.

He graduated from Mitchell County High in 1979 and was a part of one of the baddest bands and drum lines to pass through Mitchell County High School.  James loved his family, and once he called you friend it was for a life time! He loved his oatmeal pies, jolly ranchers, fishing, football and playing cards! Anything that brought the opportunity for family gatherings, meeting new people, having fun and laughter count him in! He was plenty stubborn though; once he made his mind up about something there was no changing it, and even if you tried you'd be met with the phrase, "you can go on somewhere with all that" (and a couple of other choice words). He was small in statue, but big and strong in will and spirit!

He passed from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Monday, October 3, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.

He leaves to cherish his memories parents, James and Rutha Mae Brown, Camilla, Georgia; one sister, Tammy Brown Bryant, Murfreesboro, TN; children, LaQuitta Alston(Demetric), James (Trey) Brown,III, both from Atlanta, Georgia and LaShawna Brown, Kenosha, Wisconsin.  Aunts, Elizabeth Williams, Susie Williams and Ollie Burley (Ulysee). Uncles, Henderson Fluellen, Earnest Fluellen and Ira Fluellen. Five grandchildren, a special little fellow who stole his heart and called him Pop-Pop, Christian Mahone, two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends including two very devoted friends, Debbie Wimberly Yates; thanks for getting him through so many times and James Griffin (Griff) his fishing partner, listening ear and Uber transportation no matter where he was going!
