Mr. Jerry Jermaine Harris was born June 24, 1984 in Mitchell County, Georgia to Jerry Dean Harris and Alfredia Denise Harris.

Jerry attended Mitchell-Baker High School in Camilla, Georgia and graduated with the Class of 2002.  At an early age, Jerry confessed Christ and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia. This is where he learned the principles of leadership which prepared him for his leadership role at American Signature. For several years, Jerry served as Logistics Technician. His charismatic attitude urged his fellow workers to excel at their individual task. Jerry was fun, well respected, and looked up to. There was not a work problem or process that Jerry could not solve or accomplish. He excelled in his position which made him want to further his education in PC Maintenance. In December of 2015, Jerry graduated from Albany Technical College with an Associate Degree in PC Maintenance.

Even though Jerry was one of the younger members of our family, he was wise beyond his years. He was the voice of reason and stability for many family members and friends. The way he gave himself to others exemplified the love he had for them. Jerry wanted everyone to be their greatest self. Psalms 37:23 - The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delighted in his way. Therefore, let his life speak for him and let his earthly works speak blessings to those he touched daily.

Jerry's greatest love was his children. He gave them love and above all direction and purpose. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jernya A. Harris.

On Friday, December 17, 2021, at his residence in Camilla, Georgia, he transitioned peacefully from this earthly world.

Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Alfredia Denise Harris of Camilla, Georgia; his father, Jerry Dean Harris of Camilla, Georgia; two sons, Jermaine R. Harris of Camilla, Georgia, Jerry J. Harris, Jr. of Camilla, Georgia; one daughter, Jermya M. Harris of Camilla, Georgia; one sister, Ashley Harris (Jeffery) of Pelham, Georgia; two brothers, Demetrious Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia, Luther Harris (Maggie) of Springfield, Massachusetts; five nieces, Jamia Wimberly of Putney, Georgia, Haylei and Hollei Reese of Pelham, Georgia, Navaeh Harris of Springfield, Massachusetts, Kyara Harris of Springfield, Massachusetts; four nephews, Bryston Wimberly of Putney, Georgia, Ayden Wimberly of Thomasville, Georgia, Kameron Wimberly of Thomasville, Georgia, Jakari Wimberly of Detroit, Michigan.

Jerry is also survived by three children he reared, Sommer Snells of Camilla, Georgia, Harmoni Owens of Camilla, Georgia, and Shontaria Davis of Camilla, Georgia; one special friend, Heather Owens of Camilla, Georgia; and some special cousins, Willie Emanuel of Camilla, Georgia, Marcus Wimberly of Columbus, Georgia, Dante'Butler of Germany; devoted friend, Alphonso Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
