Jessie Pearl West Hardrick celebrated her 94th birthday on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, and on Friday, January 15th the Lord visited her home and whispered softly "It is now my child" and she quietly left us. She was the daughter of Ed and Pearl West of Bainbridge, Georgia. One sister, Eddie M. West Dye and brother-in-law, Thomas Dye, two brothers, Theodore and Samuel West all preceded her in death.

Jessie Pearl received her education from the public schools of Bainbridge, Georgia. At an early age she was united in holy matrimony to Willard Anderson of Lumpkin, Georgia where she bore two daughters, Eugie Anderson Garnes (deceased) and Naomi Anderson Carroll. In later years she married Roger Hardrick and two children were born to this union, Winfred Dean Hardrick and Sherrye Ann Hardrick Montgomery.

She joined Saint Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lumpkin, Georgia, and later moved her membership to Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Albany, Georgia.

Jessie Pearl's passion was helping people in any way that she could, therefore, her employments were always in that area of work. Her love for people always warranted assisting them or offering to do so which always elicit these words, "can I help you or what do you want me to do?"

She loved trying new recipes and other foods and wanted to share them with others. Her other love was the Bible and Word Search. When you visited her, you often found her doing one of these activities. She loved Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church and often had to be reminded by her pastor and others to "please sit down Mrs. Hardrick". People loved her as she did them, but when ever anyone did anything for her, she always said, "What do I owe you?"

Jessie Pearl leaves precious and loving memories to all of her family and dear friends. She is survived by two daughters, Naomi Carroll (Billy Sr.) of Camilla, Georgia and Sherrye A. Montgomery (Larry) of Douglasville, Georgia; one son, Winfred D. Hardrick of Albany, Georgia; one daughter, Eugie A. Garnes, preceded her in death; three grandsons, William "Bill" Carroll, Jr. of Camilla, Georgia, Antonio Montgomery (Lisa), Arkeba Montgomery (Kim) of Douglasville Georgia (one grandson, Samuel Garnes, preceded her in death); two granddaughters, Binai Carroll English (Torrey) of Dudley, Georgia; Shaneeka Montgomery of Douglasville, Georgia; a niece, Thomasine Dye-Thomas of Albany, GA; (one niece, DeLesta Baker preceded her in death); (a nephew, Joe M.
